Bassam is right. According to an Iraqi Christian who attended Christmas services in Iraq the Iraqi government provided protection. They were able to enjoy a little peace, for once.

Lynn, I have come across stories on how Muslims are supporting their Christians fellow Iraqis but most of these articles are in Arabic. Western media did not highlight that, or maybe did not want to highlight that. I probably will write something about it soon. Happy New Year!

Doesn't say anything at all about how the Christians of Iraq had to either cancel Christmas or keep it very low key because the Muslims are bombing them and trying to run them out of the country? How many are left now? 10? DISgraceful! I'm sure that my state has more Iraqi Christians than Iraq and that exodus started while Hussein was in power so you can't blame this war.
